epiphyseal injury




Salter Harris type 2 injury of proximal tibial epiphysis











history - 17 yr old male with h/o RTA (fresh inj) sustaining injury to Rt proximal tibial epiphysis (closed) without NVD







T/t - CR under image & crossed K wire fixation followed by A/K slab immobilization












post op - pt discharged the next day with no signs of any neurovascular deficits
follow ups - awaiting

monteggia variant






a rare type of monteggia variant



history - a 25 year old male patient sustained injury to left forearm (h/o fall) fresh inj
diag - closed segmental frac left ulna + radial head dislocation (variant of monteggia)

















t/t - nailing ulna done closed + slab immobilization in hyperflexion













follow up - suture removal + cast immobilization in hyperflexion
further follow ups - awaiting.............
